The Must Knows of Writing

The reading included two topics: Rhetorical Situations and Genres. Within these topics, there were many different sections broken down to help explain important things such as purpose, audience, stance, and literacy narratives. Personally, I found the reading to be very detailed and I feel that I will be able to take the information and use it when I am writing my own papers. The one section I really found beneficial was the audience section. When writing papers, it is very important that you are able to identify with those who will read it and the information given in the book will help you do just that. Though I was most interested in the audience section, it is also crucial to keep the others in mind when writing.
